About Us

NEC is a family run business which was founded on enthusiasm for Connemaras. Alison & Billy and their children Jenny, Sarah & David have all been involved through the years. All the riding members of the family have competed on Connemaras or Connemara crosses.

Alison has bred over 30 foals, many of which have been successful in competition.
3 were sold to Christine Finlayson, whose children competed successfully for many years, one reaching Wembly.

Currently, Jenny competes on Bellendene Franklin, or ‘Frankie’, a Connemara stallion owned by Oxnam Neuk Stud. ‘Frankie’ is kept at NEC and has won several championships , in 2011 he was 4th at HOYS 138cm M+M Working Hunter Pony. Click here to see a video of Jenny and Frankie.
